Alethia

Patients describe their symptoms to Alethia before they arrive. By the time they do, the practice already holds a structured note of history and urgency.

Alethia supports Swiss general practices at the point where care begins. Patients complete a short, guided conversation ahead of their appointment; symptoms, history, and context arrive as a structured note rather than a rushed exchange at the front desk. The result is preparation instead of paperwork - and consultations that open with clarity.

The conversation that never quite happens

A general practice knows almost nothing about a patient until they are in the room. The history exists, but it is scattered, and the first minutes of an appointment are spent rebuilding it out loud - at a desk, in a waiting room, in front of other people. It is the least private part of the visit and the least useful use of the doctor's time.

Alethia moves that exchange earlier. Before the appointment, the patient describes what is wrong in an ordinary spoken conversation, at home, taking as long as they need.

What we built

  • A guided conversation the patient can hold in their own words, by voice.
  • A structured note from it: symptoms, history and context, in the practice's format.
  • An urgency signal, so a case that should not wait does not sit in a queue.
  • A record the practice holds, arriving before the patient does.

What arrives is a note, not a diagnosis. The system gathers and structures; the practice decides. That line matters in medicine, and it is drawn in the design rather than in a disclaimer.

What the practice sees

The appointment opens with the history already known, which returns the first minutes of the consultation to the reason the patient came. For the patient, the account is given once, in private, without a queue behind them.

Alethia runs under the practice's name, in Switzerland, and patient data is never used to train models.
